Krystal

On the evening of June 2nd, Krystal suddenly lost the use of her back end - her hips just gave way... she was laying down, screaming, hissing, and lashing out in pain.

Krystal had her x-rays done today, the outcome is better than any of us had dared to hope!

When I left her with the vet this morning, I expected to never see her alive again... but, when the call from the vet came, the news was excellent!

Krystal does not have hip dysplasia as was previously diagnosed! She does have a severe knee problem that must be treated with surgery, but the outlook for her is now much brighter than we could have hoped! There's no arthritis in the joints, they are both just very weak and badly formed.

The plan now is that Krys will go on a very strict calorie controlled diet. Once she's lost 2kgs, she will have corrective surgery on both her knees.

The outlook is much brighter now! Hopefully, once she is recovered from her surgery, Krystal will be happier than she has ever been before!
